DISCOLORED SKY

Lost horizon, the azure sky, suffocates,

Piquant details puzzle the Sun radiates,

The mind plays a dirty trick, cloud cover,

Beautiful dream stolen laugh prouder, (1)

 

Pricks conscience fallacy non-existent,

Unreasonable, lament intent resistant,

Create hallucinations, sufferings, peril,

Humans at peace, cherish love reveal, (2)

 

The heart falters and frightens stricken,

Nightmare, a bad dream, life smitten,

Tasted the heart love, nectar search,

Flowers vanished quickly, hope, lurch, (3)

 

Someone whispers, story threatening,

Tremble with fear, a fiction listening,

Fiction is the dusty cloud, the Sun hides,

Action and efforts courage presides, (4)

 

Midnight nightingale song modulates,

Lost the melodious sound deliberately,

It was elusive, perceptions of music long,

Resounding, captivate beautiful song, (5)

 

No trace of a flock of birds or chirping,

Birds in the nest rest notice fledging,

Friend missing, leaving alone, perplexed,

A misnomer, magical world complex, (6)

 

Disappear clouds, dust settles precisely,

Human life, pristine, precious surprise,

Amazing nature, a paradise truly found,

Suspicions and doubts kidnap unkind, (7)

 

Orange, sunrise, crimson setting sun,

Discolored sky, only a misconception,

The mind creates depression, invalid,

Ecstasy and harmony, ground insipid! (viii)
