Visitors to a site are awestruck,

Millennia rock stands its sock,

Single is the stone carved out,

The temple idols items sprout, (1)

 

Electric and atmosphere quietude,

Visitors watching love attitude,

The pride and disbelief ethereal lit,

Across the age mesmerize hit, (2)

 

Magical impossibility imagine,

Million tons of rock dug mine,

Single stone granite hard fit,

Why did men build this temple, lit, (3)

 

How many worked, year long,

How many years toiled, song,

What benefit they get salvage,

What were the motives, had craze, (4)

 

Link footprints of civilization,

Forgot a past scientific notion,

No trace of technology visible,

Modern science denies feasible, (5)

 

Rejects possible construction,

Noticed in front phenomenon,

Hours I passed there moving,

Feeling somewhat whispering, (6)

 

You, human, belong to times,

Civilization class determines,

Far superior current science,

Better a technology convince, (7)

 

Lost everything difficult thing,

Monstrosity construction blink,

It resembles temple idols a lot,

The language carved out alert, (viii)

 

There was literature, arts and crafts,

Humans lived freely, had artifacts,

The gold jewelry, clothes, spices,

Traveling far west best prices, (9)

 

The site I visited reminds me well,

East Asia Hindu temples hail,

Executive carving symbolic lit,

Culture across country delight, (10)

 

Festivals ritual practices neat,

Calculated by stones sunlight,

The position of the star moon date,

Position of planets season wait, (11)

 

Determine the exact date, time,

The rock temple, single define,

Reclined to a granite wall stay,

Probed pristine past I dismay, (12)

 

Being a technocrat failed to face,

Million tons of rock displaced,

No lift crane vehicle crushers,

Simple hammer times ushers, (13)

 

Before me stood impossibility,

Speechless, defied rationality,

It was evening, returned home,

The immensity felt awesome, (14)

 

Civilization, immensity defeat,

The culture immensity was deleted,

That defeats millennia intact,

Immensity attractive impact. (15)
