 A STRING OF DESIRES

The man and wife a sweet nest,
Tidal waves of dreams, the best,
Annual output of rice, earnings,
He hasn't arrived yet, evenings, (1)

Apparently, the wait for decades,
Failure, troubles, masquerades,
the salt, sweat, hot Sun, cruel,
Merciless the Earth, water boils, (2)

Her worries, impatient, and sad,
The time is running out, life is mad,
She wants to tell her agony, fears,
Her hand on her chick, it wears, (3)

Alert eyes look desperately calm,
Hide her restlessness belief balm,
The pitcher of cold water to quench,
Ajar the door, to rest, the change, (4)

The garland, fragrant, she wears,
Hope her man gets relaxed, tears,
An ocean of marital compulsions,
Sweet words, a river of emotions, (5)

The confluence of happiness, joy,
A confluence of peace and love,
They shall exchange worry, enjoy,
Union after the hard work, solve (6)

They are not kind and queen, seen,
Knew how to live in trouble between,
Like dark clouds passed filter rays,
Their life, not a fiction, yet displays (7)

The sleep, work, friend of nature,
A string of desire wellness allure,
Privileged, desires fulfilled, kids,
Life of a village woman, her deeds. (viii)
