GOLDEN EARTH

Watch helplessly as the sweltering heat,
Blunders humans commit and repeat,
Bald Mountain peak slope stays fearsome,
Verdant valley, meadow less welcome, (1)

Wild flowers, lavender, invisible sadly,
Wildfire in the grassland forest, badly,
Summer time dry bed of the river, see,
Rain plays havoc with a flurry of floods, fiery (2)

A winter smog-filled city is polluted.
Arrival spring, blossoms pale sighted,
A parched cornfield peasant looks up,
Contemplates this year's drought crop, (3)

Black smoke concrete world displays,
The name of modernity nature sadly plays,
Melting ice cloudburst destroys lives,
Roofless roadside life doom believes (4)

All these pictures are manmade stare.
Golden cornfields in waves, play air,
Nightingales and cuckoo in the night,
Signal springtime wildflowers delight, (5)

Snow peaks radiant at sunrise prevail,
Verdure luxurious growth green well,
Serenely flows the river, blue stream,
Heat wave disappeared, feel a dream, (6)

Green revolution soil is precious, hint
Greenhouse, pollution-free, lives meant,
The flock of birds merrily flying indicates,
Lotus blooms in the pond lake dictate, (7)

Animal world rising species and the forest,
Mistakes humans realize and slowly correct,
Golden Earth is rare in the universe, felt.
Preserve or face oblivion naturally melt. (viii)
