LIPS SIP TEARS

LIPS SIP TEARS

Infinite the attraction she prays,
A lap holds a child, the heart says,
Blissful, her life eyes lovingly well,
Dressed bosom sleeps a baby tell, (1)

How soon learned to crawl, walk,
Mother's hand helped fear lack,
Growth time shows taller height,
School-going kid studies yet revels, (2)

Excels in result, black gown, a hat,
Overwhelmed, a mother, but sat
Her hungry eyes sipping the sight,
Wait eternally behind a window, write, (3)

Reminding her of her immense prayers,
Her child is becoming stable, dares,
Dreaming sweeps her mind, a day,
Name and fame bestowed, a way, (4)

Recalled her past days, a sick child,
Shivering with fever, crying wild,
Kneeling down before the picture, yell,
Heal my baby, O Almighty, to quell (5)

Recovered to pink health, playful,
She looked at happiness, tearful,
Grown-up cub no more is seeking,
Prosperous career status wishing, (6)

Fate gave time wave, save money,
Long flight overseas, sought honey,
Mother didn't receive a letter, quiet.
Stand behind a door, eager to wait, (7)

A fledgling bird hatched far off a land,
Her mother scarcely had any demands,
Harbors worries, tensions, and her fears,
Burns the wick, oil lamp, lips in tears, (viii)
