REPENTANCE

The mind, wild, shields calmness, wins,
Between the horns of a dilemma means,
Bitterest a thirsty heart, worst action,
Envy rules overpower the result reaction, (1)

An outspoken loose tongue hurts a friend,
Self-ego, arrogance, enter lies defend,
Laugh at them running away, surprised,
Haughty life, jealous mind often prized, (2)

Never could he remember, all humiliated,
Saw their tears yet silently assimilated,
Green eyes grin the face of a vicious soul,
A belief, suppressing others, his life, a goal (3)

Cactus with attractive flowers and thorns,
Fragrant red rose and thorn lives mourn,
Pretensions in the guise of venomous thought,
Existence is the truth act wrought effort, (4)

Falling sick of such life escapades derails,
Relatives, friends, enemies, fail to quell,
Palash tree, orange flames, flowerings tell,
Fruitless the tree signifies reasons dwell, (5)

No contribution to any lack of compassion,
A life standing alone proudly, an impression,
Forgotten from the world, discarded hell,
Look away and despise a life devilish well, (6)

Perennial force is time stealing the strength,
Shriveled the skin's shrunken eyes, breath,
Breathlessness awakens the soul to solve,
Time had passed a lifetime, action resolved, (7)

Life is segregated, separated, and condemned,
Solitude, a melancholic state, time threatened,
Last hour sweeps realization begs penance,
No relevance, a candlelight lost repentance. (viii)
