EPHEMERAL CHILDHOOD
Starry eyes glisten, and the dimple,
Pink rose buds, fragrant joy trickle,
Transient sunrise luminous radiate,
Curiosity affects surprise, light, fate,
(1)
Dew carries morning glory, gems,
Disappear quickly yet overwhelm,
The ropeway bridge, calm water,
Turned to molten lake encounter, (2)
Amaze children's minds, pictures,
Coconut trees inclined and a mirror,
A gentle breeze will create ripples,
Reflection will be lost soon, simple,
(3)
Coconut dry leaves stream carry,
Flocks of birds fly and chirp, worry,
Soon all of them fled in silence, stay,
Passing clouds sail lazily or display,
(4)
Reflections of clouds are missing,
Shimmer leaves the wind kissing,
The mural, ages ago, children play,
Grown up, became young, sway, (5)
Grew, responsibility, burden of life,
Face challenges, trouble, and strife,
Lost the kid's innocence, dreamy,
Fighting for survival, fear is uncanny
(6)
Grip solitude and silence look back,
Childhood melt morning mist, lack,
Fairy stories, king, queen, princess,
Heart once believed laugh witness, (7)
Remember, drop a pebble, wave.
Spread in circles gradually fades,
Ephemeral childhood is an emotion,
Dew or morning fog vanishes notion.
