A STEP TO THE SKY

Hovers rain clouds, thunderstorms,
Lightning, blazing missiles norms,
Like weather, as humans change,
Devastation elimination to carnage, (1)

Approach the twenty-first century,
Science to technology brings injury,
Artificial intelligence machination,
Know no love, kindness, compassion, (2)

Civilization rose to the zenith, ruined,
Bitter fight aggression alas entwined,
Continue still in this age blind action,
Black smoke fires picture devastation, (3)

Most of the species vanish quickly,
Polluted oceanic deep water rightly,
Fresh air, cool wind, and dust-free, negate,
Fumes of traffic, concrete road state, (4)

Look at a green garden and a creeper,
Beautiful flowers fragrant with color,
Permeate peace and bliss profusely,
Blue sky, pigeons fly, think seriously, (5)

Not visible crowded markets and malls?
Between countries stands a great wall.
Majestic mountain, please visit, dear.
Captivating meadows, forest verdure, (6)

White cranes and flamingoes fly in a flock,
White clouds congratulate feel sock,
Listen, whistling wind, limbs moisten,
Far below the blue waters of a river run, (7)

High in the sky, an aeroplane travels,
Distant journey unfolds dreams well,
The sparrow, near extinction, appears,
Surprised, a step to the sky is nearer! (viii)
