THE PROMISE, A REMINDER

Slept on a bed of grass, saw stars,
Winking in the dark, messaged well,
Fragrant lavender shared purple hues,
A gentle breeze swept in, swell (1)

Moistened face, arms refreshed and wet,
The moon rose in the west, bright,
Dreamweaver, sleepy time intimate,
Returned to a wooden cottage, a sight (2)

Morning watched the golden aura peak,
Snow-capped mountains radiate, yet wish,
The scenery, an alluring trick of nature,
Speechless, the snowy slopes cherished, (3)

Crystal clear blue stream, foamy rocks,
Melodious, the music of a wandering ship,
A waterfall, hovering birds bring socks,
A paradise on earth, awe-inspiring, (4)

Snow flecks of icy weather blanket white fields,
Firewood burned, warming shivers of life,
Ethereal silence, pin-drop time shields,
A time for departure yet still surrendering, (5)

An incident in prime youth, experience,
Money-gold matters in a concrete world,
High-rise towers, flyovers, traffic sense,
Distant memories, sadly lost words, (6)

Scary present time, tension, and worries,
Buses, trains, flights, and the rush terrify,
Hooked to a situation surrounded by misery,
To break free from horror will intensify (7)

Returning today, back to the panorama,
The past golden times allure, I remember,
Fakeness and falsity of life are drama,
In a valley with promise, a reminder, (viii)
