SEARCHING FOR THE SOUL MATE
She distanced herself from a flower,
Suspicious eyes, horribly life cower,
Rejected flower, fallen, she vanished,
A speechless young man once wished, (1)
Old letter from her dried petals stay,
Smeared with tears, blurred inks lay,
Clueless passion string snatched tell,
Shyness, silence, aloofness, let prevail, (2)
Years of close companionship rolled by,
Love from the core of the heart molds,
Hand in hand, the evenings, mornings,
Point blank retracted event churning, (3)
The park, a bench under a lamppost, lit,
Unending gossip hour passed, defeat,
Deserted the wooden bench, sorrows,
Relationship dwindled not tomorrow's, (4)
The girl found a bird nesting seriously,
Looking for a partner, hoping for a family,
Chick will chirp, fledgling, then hatching,
Procreation, nature's actions, amazing, (5)
Lion, lions, their cubs are playful, a sight,
Subtle messages of union far delight,
The woman mistakenly realized her actions,
Submerged in sadness, linked emotion (6)
Path least never returned, stay pains,
Burnt letters, roses to ash, what gains,
Cried in her room, repentant hooks,
Windows opened the evening looks, (7)
Her letter is to be forgiven one chance,
Got a phone call, intimacy, if advance,
United both hearts never to alienate,
The past searching for the soul mate, (viii)
