THE RIVER MOVES SLOWLY

 

Nature and beauty in motion starkly,

Mountains, forest, and the river, lovely,

Serenity, limitless tranquility expand,

A blue stream, like life, understand, (1)

 

Animals, cattle quench thirst, grazing,

Sand at the riverside, tall grass swing,

A flock of birds in a circle merrily chirp,

Mirror of the wings, still water sharp, (2)

 

White clouds in the azure sky, cotton,

Sails lazily, the river reflects heart, earn,

Absorbs peace and bliss and pleasure,

Quietude and happiness, find leisure, (3)

 

Hypnotize the sight, serpentine path,

A boat and boatman attract, worth,

Lifeline for commuters, distant travel,

Villager finds it convenient to unravel. (4)

 

Transport goods forward; life depends.

Fishery fisherman net crane pretend,

Bathing ghat people swim and enjoy,

Cool and clean water, cause it gives joy, (5)

 

Critical source for drinking water tells,

Cultivation depends heavily and well,

Fertile land bumper crops gift revive,

Life sustains by the river and survives, (6)

 

The source of life, journey, a miracle,

The moisture wet limbs water trickle,

Fresh air freshness root the river say,

Survive forest animals mission a way, (7)

 

The sojourn meets the sea path tracks,

The river moves slowly, lovely entraps,

Incomplete journey of the river cipher,

Human life resembles insight decipher. (viii)
