WINGS OF THE MIND
Fled the white crane spread
its wings,
Dropped the furs, happiness swings,
Sobs, the daughter of the landlord,
Leaving parents, scarcely afford, (1)
The ear and nose ring golden chain,
Bangles, anklets, bracelets, the same,
Long black hair manicured in a veil,
Carbon paint eyebrows tears prevail, (2)
The slim finger jewel ring nail polish,
Red ink border of small feet, cherish,
The silk saree executive pattern says,
The palanquin with men, well, displays (3)
The bride went to her in-laws' home,
She has to cross a river, and a boat comes,
A myriad of apprehension and fear float
She was listening to the boatman, escort (4)
Welcomes her in-law family, husband,
For a while, she failed to withstand,
Missing her parents' home and village,
On the fourth night, she met craze (5)
She found a polite, gentle manner, well,
Sprouts budding love soft cord dwell,
Experience the unmatched trust stay,
She started to believe her belief play (6)
She got pregnant with her parents,
News of a baby, her love feels current,
The undercurrent pulled him quickly,
Found her hubby holding the baby, lovely, (7)
Discovered the conjugal married life,
Wings of mind in thoughts, fur, strife,
The white crane found its mate a nest,
A chick fledgling, matching the best. (viii)
