A PAGE FROM HER LIFE

Adolescence touched, a magical feeling,
Captivates the rebellious heart willing,
Limitless imaginations and dreams prevail,
Once her soul, as a boat prepared to sail, (1)

Look for a handsome guy, materialize,
The conjugal love, passionate, realized,
Her days and nights, a dawn and dusk,
Sunrise to setting sun scintillate musk, (2)

Pleasant companionship is lively; it persists,
His proposal for marriage failed to resist,
The wedlock was a sock and separate,
She cried, a minor mistake, but desperate, (3)

He melted into thin air, left a child soon,
Her only asset, her child, grew up a boon,
Many a hope, hopelessness she witnessed,
The innocence of child mischief impresses (4)

He grew tall and took care of his mother,
Education, job, position, and his life prospered,
A chapter began, her son sought marriage,
She found a beautiful girl, her life amazed (5)

The moment has arrived, wedding song,
Immersed in her past thoughts so long,
A few unspent desires under the chest,
An auspicious occasion, her only interest, (6)

The guests invite smiles, cherish time,
Guests left after dinner, memories stay prime.
Her son and daughter-in-law are leaving,
The chicks built their nest, a future swing (7)

Lonely at the fag-end of life, she searches,
A page from her life, her son loves very much.
Accepted decision of the Lord happens,
Life is not a bed of roses; life awakens. (viii)
