NICK OF TIME
Mind is blind, misguiding, mischievous,
Life-threatening danger, stay curious,
Unaware of impending death, senses,
Game of life, encounter fear pretense, (1)
Hope and hopelessness, both shores,
Where the boat of life is heading, fears,
The darkness, depth unknown, rocks,
To sink a matter of time alerts socks, (2)
Hilarious life runs at breakneck speed,
An accident steals a precious life indeed,
Slow and steady, watchful alert saves,
Reaches destination safely, life waves, (3)
Opportunity visits rarely, never return.
Lazy attitude, careless attempt, curtain,
Misses gold, career, and praise totally,
Tension and depression collude fatally (4)
Missing near and dear ones to repent,
Harsh words, unkind hearts represent,
Pluck the blooming flower plant, dies.
Heartless act, unthinkable, sadly defies (5)
The bride collapses, Earth caves in, say,
Life halts, saved from death, find a way,
Life, a long path slips from the ground,
Less find under the feet, gloom found, (6)
A red rose, a pink letter, a proposal wish,
Time elapses, love forgets, and sees perish,
Receive a lovelorn heart wedding card,
His life, sorrowful, clueless to reward (7)
The dawn breaks, catch a bus, define,
Bus scantly reruns the truth nick of time,
All His mercy the Lord plays to shine,
Success and failure paradigm entwine (viii)
