THE TOUCHING MEMORIES
How time passed so soon,
unaware,
Your protection adoration I share,
The roof above my head unshaken,
A hug embraces like a safe haven, (1)
Innumerable advice and guidance,
Helped me from trouble, a riddance,
Hard work, your dreams to feed us,
No more in the world, I feel curious, (2)
Who stole you, Dad, from us, a cruel,
Missing your presence is a heart fuel,
The path that never returns, a fact,
Living memory in our mind impacts (3)
We played together, traveled a lot,
You showed us the nature city as an effort,
Conveyed details we came to know,
Memories hunt at sites somehow, (4)
I suffered a high fever, and worried at night,
Sat near me, watchful in great fright,
Today I am happy and healthy, stay,
Lost you, dad, in good times, I dismay, (5)
Many a fun, humorous story you tell,
Floating in the mind is living; it prevails,
The college degree functions as a gown,
Hot tears and claps all dream crown, (6)
Married life with kids, I follow a path,
Learned from you discipline as worth,
The peace and blissful life we shifted,
Our old house was sold, life has drifted, (7)
We visit the cemetery and sit silently,
To the flower plant, pour a little water,
Pray for you, rest in peace, solemnly,
The touching memories offer flowers. (viii)
