SUNRISE AND THE FUTURE

Orange hues lighted the peak hypnotic,

Tiny kids and teens disbelieve, ecstatic,

Mesmerizes the sunrise and tomorrow,

Erases ghosts of the past, hidden sorrow, (1)

 

Myriad of hope confluence desire well,

Glisten expectant eyes, unknown dwell,

Scintillating silence, the wind shimmers,

New Year on the anvil wishes whispers, (2)

 

Ignorant of the violent world or fearful,

Unseen poverty misery, life is peaceful,

Far from burning anger, life devastated,

Innocence rule tender heart decorated, (3)

 

Running after dragonflies or butterflies,

Rainbow of teenage happiness surprise,

Enchant streak of sunrays, spray, allure,

Far below, hazy the horizon encounters, (4)

 

Unknown kingdom, the paradise unfold,

Surreal feelings, views, intoxicates, mold,

An hour as if, apparently, a second rings,

Labyrinth of delicate tissues thrills, sings, (5)

 

Time is the river, flows slowly, year ends,

Sorrows and happiness, yet shores bend,

A child's life is a test of uncertainty, challenge,

Success and failure entwine, kids change, (6)

 

Ignorant of romantic heart or throb stay,

A fragrant lotus in the pond, and display,

Soft eyes, beautiful eyes, or a sweet voice,

Jubilant to watch the sunrise, he rejoices, (7)

 

Far from the mundane world, noise, hazy,

Pinkish, their chicks lure sweet face, rosy,

Watch, sunrise, and the future of a teen,

Fascinate the new world love in between (viii)
