THE LAKE AND MOLTEN GOLD

 

Irresistible desires influence the mind,

Proverbial dragon spits fire, cruel find,

Paradigm change or seasons fascinate,

Pragmatism, the heart harbors intricate (1)

 

Challenges, curvy life paths, mountain,

Crevasse, cavern, gorge, or creeks, rain,

Steel slopes ice-clad peaks, avalanches,

Quicksand traps life, escape, all chances, (2)

 

Terrible nights, nightmares, and horror,

Burden and responsibility sadly hanker,

Frightful foreseeable future anticipate,

Devastation in the offing communicates (3)

 

An unknown river of emotion drowns life,

Embrace the cacti thorn pierce a strife,

Blossoms faded, bald branches, picture,

Frosted leaves, wet earth moist, feature, (4)

 

Smoke changed to smog or fog spread,

Hungry humans search for a shelter, bread,

Spider net of human thoughts projects,

Reality heaven stays before yet rejects, (5)

 

The steep mountains surround ghosts,

The silhouette casts shadows, life hosts,

The mind creates fearful sight, essays,

Peak lighted brilliant sunshine amazes (6)

 

Rising hope, courage, endeavor the sun,

Lake is the human heart, deep, mourns,

The sun dazzles, and the lake turns gold,

Peace, happiness, experience love mold, (7)

 

The mysterious narrow trek, a solution,

Humans discover a pristine heart lesson,

The lake and molten gold, heart paints

Hope at the top as the sun maintains. (viii)
