THE LAND AND THE SKY

 

Behold, life bewitched land meets sky,

Beyond the horizon, mountains defy,

Mysterious the peaks, cliffs, and gorge,

Creeks waterfall, the river, life merge, (1)

 

Dense forest, grazing fields, animals,

Storehouse of flowers and fruits. primal,

Countless birds, creatures, living beings,

Tribal humans celebrate festivals, sing, (2)

 

Sunrise and streak of sunlight dispel,

The darkness settled here, and repel,

Unfolds a vibrant paradise, hazy sights,

Loved heart, witness nature, delight, (3)

 

Transcendental peace or tranquility,

Incredible feelings, sensations, beauty,

Fertile soil, granaries, golden crops,

A gust of wind plays, or waves develop, (4)

 

Blue River serpentine path villages,

Mesmerizes rustic life store pages,

The busy metropolis and dust pollute.

Highways, automobiles rest dilute, (5)

 

May a desire, aspiration, and hopes,

Tomorrow will be a golden life scope,

Hidden failures, disasters devastate,

Courage, strength, or effort dictate (6)

 

Skyscrapers kiss the skies, crumble,

Upheaval and downfall or trouble,

The land is a wonderland, a traveler,

The sky loses boundary life discover, (7)

 

The clouds, the azure sky, the rain,

The sun and the moon, stars wane

Spectral hues at sunset or at dawn,

The land and the sky, humans yearn. (viii)
